5 Pendant Lights We're in Love With

A super easy way to make a statement is with a pendant light.  Make a focal area over a dining table with a warm, mellow light, a task focused series over a kitchen island or a stunner in the centre of a room.

 1. Unfold Pendant Lamp - Muuto

Made from soft silicone rubber material available in a huge variety of colours make the Unfold suitable for multiple settings.  The cable is the same colour as the body of the light which is a small but really lovely detail.  One of our favourite things about this light is the diffuser on the underside, making it perfect for over a dining table as you’ll not get blinded by a glaring bright bulb.  The rubber itself lends a softness to the industrial style.

 2. Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant - HAY

Designed by George Nelson in 1952, the Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant’s wide surface area diffuses soft light into any interior. It comes with a steel ceiling plate, which allows it to delicately float overhead. This light is part of Nelson’s iconic Bubble family, a series of lights of varying shapes and sizes.

3. Speckle Pendant – ferm LIVING

Available in two sizes, this ceiling lamp is made from stoneware and features a grainy, raw finish.  It is crafted by hand and so has a fluid, organic silhouette.

4. Flowerpot Pendant - &Tradition

First designed in 1968, Verner Panton’s Flowerpot Lamp is an enduring classic, one of the most iconic works of post war Danish design.  The Flowerpot sits in a family of 6 lights, made up of 3 sizes of pendants, 2 table lamps and a wall lamp.  Available in a range of sublime colours, it's easy to see why this is a design that is as popular today as it ever was.

5. Bonbon – HAY

Inspired by her drawings, Ana Kraš’ Bonbon Lamp Shades are hand-woven using an original technique to create textured, one-of-a-kind pieces that can stand on their own as powerful decorative objects even when the bulb is not switched on. In Ana’s lampshade collaboration with HAY, every shade is hand woven with nylon-wool yarn around a powder-coated steel frame, resulting in individual lampshades that vary slightly in their appearance and surface aesthetic. The cord sets for the shades are sold separately and are available in two designs – a table/floor variant with an in-line rocker switch, and a pendant variant for ceiling lamps.  So you can use it wherever you want to create a focal point.
