January Journal
We're almost at the end of January and are taking a moment to reflect on all that's been going on at Maven this month. After a busy Christmas season in our new space, the whole team enjoyed a break over the New Year and we regrouped to reopen in early January. We went straight into our Winter Sale which seen the whole team work closely with customers, helping them choose perfect pieces for their homes. We know these decisions can often take a little time and we're here to guide you with any help you might need, be that samples or working out sizes etc. The sales continues for another little while with up to 20% off.
We've been making way for new pieces in the showroom and so have been selling some cherished ex-display pieces. We have a few ex-display pieces left, either call into the shop or take a peek at our instagram highlightsto see whats remaining.
We've been completely revamping one of the rooms in the shop, we're still waiting on a few last bits and as soon as we get these we'll be sure to share photos and all the details with you.
Catherine and Patricia went to Paris last week to Maison & Objet. It's a huge French trade fair for the interiors industry. There we met some of our suppliers current and new, including Tessa from Ethnicraft who had battled traffic in snowy conditions to get all the way from Antwerp to Paris that morning.
The next day we spent in Paris itself. Higlights of the day included catching up with Aude from Petite Friture who welcomed us on a freezing Paris morning with hot coffee and delicious lemon cake. We're excited to be welcoming Perfumer H to Maven very soon, and couldn't not call into their store in the Marais to say hello.
Since getting back this week, we've hosted a Maven Session: Ikebana with Gathered Floral. The wonderful Hannah helped our little group create the most stunning arrangements using Annadale Brickworks bowls, and blooms ranging from poppies, carnations and ranunculus to tulips, muscari and majolica spray roses. If you'd like to come along to a Maven Session in the future, make sure to keep an eye on emails from us, we'll aways let our subscribers know about them first.
